Restylane & Perlane

Restylane-L®
 is a hyaluronic acid gel that can be used to enhance lessen or eliminate wrinkles. It is often used to augment lips or other soft tissue areas. The new formula contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, providing almost immediate pain relief during treatment. Since this product is synthetic and not derived from an animal material, as collagen was, patients have very low risk of allergy to this injectable.

Perlane®
 is a hyaluronic acid gel filler similar to Restylane. However, it has a larger particle size so it’s often used to fill in deeper wrinkles and folds. There is a very low risk of allergy to this injectable because it is synthetically derived, not animal derived.
